My Philosophy
Marketing research is a good place to start when designing a user experience. While it doesn't give the full story need to complete an effective design, it can serve as a foundation for the discovery phase of a design project. Often this research has already been gathered by the product marketing or product management arm of the company and can serve to build bridges between stakeholders.
